HI-TEC MACHINE SERVICES LTD was formed and have been trading since 1996, John & Tony Coupe are the Directors. Prior to that, since 1978 John Coupe had been trading as NUMERICAL CONTROL SERVICING LTD. repairing and servicing CNC Machines and all the Electronic/Electrical equipment associated with them. Previously he gained experience working for "GENERAL ELECTRIC" now known as "GE FANUC" and on the machine side for "CHURCHILLS". During this time, the Companies provided Engineers under contract to Rolls Royce, Sunderland, and Harkers Engineering, Stockton.

HI-TEC owns a factory at Blaydon where CNC Retrofitting, machine rebuilding and manufacture Safety Guards for Machine Tools is undertaken.
